After Chapter 6's hospital and fire, the story slows down for a quiet morning at home. The brothers are alive, together, eating breakfast in their own kitchen. This little paragraph shows that home is not just a place — it is the small everyday things three brothers share, like the same favorite food. Notice how each brother is different (eggs hard, eggs in a sandwich, eggs with jelly), and yet all three are 'crazy about chocolate stuff.' Different and the same, all at once.
